Second week of school

The second week of kindergarten was a bit tougher for Ansley and I.
It is wonderful having her with me but we all know how kids like to play their parents. So the bell rings and the tears start flooding. With the help of some mommy advice we have dried up the tears and ended the week with a smile. However, I have no more quiet peaceful car rides in the morning(which I wouldn't trade). On Friday Ansley woke up with tons of questions. The 20 min car ride was full of 5 year old knowledge. As most conversations start she asked when the baby was going to get here. I explained to her the timeline. She asked why again. I explained to her that the baby still needs to grow inside of me and he can't live outside of me right now. She asked if he drools inside of me. Hmmm.... I told Ansley I wasn't sure but I will ask the doctor. She continued on and asked if the drool was hot or cold. This is when I chuckled.

Potty training update:
James has gone all week in big boy pants with only 3 minor accidents. Poop is still far from making it to the potty but it is manageable.

Ice cream and disappearing tooth!

Yesterday we met up with Caroline and the kids and had some ice cream. Frances and  Ansley have been going through withdrawals because they don't get to see each other as  much being at different schools. Frances actually wrote her a letter. Thomas has been trying to give James away lately. Caroline asked him what he wanted to get Boo for her birthday and he said to give her James. He also tends to throw James under the bus..such as who spilled the stuff on the chair, James, knowing good and well James hasn't been his apartment. Gotta love the kids creativity. However, Thomas has decided to keep James now!
The boys were to busy to pose for the camera! I have to also mention that James is on day 3 of wearing big boy pants and no accidents!!

 Ansley has had a second tooth hanging by a thread for days now. So I sent her to school on Wednesday with a ziplock bag hoping to see a tooth in it by the end of the day. This tooth was black and blue by the end of the day. She wouldn't let me pull it so we headed to ice cream with the cousins. At the end of ice cream I told Ansley to show Caroline her tooth in hopes she would let Caroline pull it. She comes over and opens her mouth and it is GONE!! She was eating mint chocolate chip in a cone. No blood, no tears equals a successful losing of a tooth!!! I haven't had the heart to tell her that the tooth is probably in her tummy. She just thinks that it is lost at the ice cream place. Here is the letter she wrote to the Tooth Fairy!

Homework and Classwork

Ansley has been coming home with the best pictures she has drawn at school. They are reading a book about David. Here are some cute pictures she drew.

Baby #3 Anatomy Check

Thursday we went in for another anatomy check ultrasound. They wanted to recheck the baby since we had been at the specialist during this check. No one seemed worried so I just thought it was because we went before 20 weeks so they wanted to check him out again. Come to find out the specialist told my doctor that my placenta was low.  No sigh of that today. I was upset at first that no one told me this but it was best for everyone that I didn't know this. I probably would have been a train wreck had I known this information. I am now 23 weeks and 5 days!!! Before the ultrasound today I actually remembered to eat something and drink water and not use the bathroom. Well baby was not cool with this. He was full of energy. Even suprising the tech by trying to jump out of my stomach. He was doing a lot fish "talking" so we got some good pictures of this. As usual he was spreading his legs and showing us that he is all boy just like his brother.

 We took Ansley with us to this ultrasound mostly because it was easier and less complicated. She just smiled the entire time. Loved hearing the heartbeat. She was mostly concerned with the stuff on my belly and if it was hurting me. I also got a flu shot so that just put her over the edge. She did manage to throw us a fun question in the ultrasound on how the baby is going to get out of me. We dodged that question with the baby moving on the ultrasound. Pretty sure the tech Melissa got a giggle out of that!! Overall everything looked good. He weighs around 1 pound and 4 ounces and is measuring 3 days behind. Ever since this ultrasound he has been trying to beat my body up. I think he was angry we woke him up during nap time. Oh dear!!

Has to be told!

We are still in potty training mood over here. James is doing great!!! The past two days he has stayed dry. No poop in the potty yet but that will come.
I do have to tell a funny story that my cute boy did on Sunday. At church on Sunday he needed to have a potty break. Bob was busy so I took him into the women's room with me. First mistake! I let him chose his stall. So of course we check all of them out even the one that was occupied. I turned my back for 2 seconds and he was peeping under the stall. Luckily, our church is a second family so the lady laughed. Once in the stall of choice he got down to business. I haven't taken him in many public bathrooms so this was a fun new experience for him. So he got distracted and what lead up to that...yes you guessed... I got wet. My silver dress and flip flops took the battle wounds! Gross!!! But he got the first part in the potty!!! Of course wearing a silver dress shows dribbles really well. Thanks James. He is teaching me valuable lessons so I am taking notes for his little brother!!

First week of school

Ansley's first week of school was a success. She even woke up at 5 am on Monday because she was so excited. She loves her teacher!! My favorite part of the day is seeing she and Addison walk down the hall and then in the afternoon come to my classroom door!! Of course when I quiz Ansley on her day all I get is good! She did make friends but says their names are too hard to remember. I have caught her this week singing songs from circle time.
Ansley was very impressed with the Roswell playground. Friday she had a mishap with the monkey bars but no broken bones. Her friend James at church fell off the monkey bars this week and broke his arm so hopefully she will take that into consideration this next week. But she is a kindergartener so probably not:)
On Friday she borrowed a book from the library called little bear, which is a chapter book. We are having fun reading that at bedtime.

My kindergartener!!

Yesterday Ansley wore herself out being so crazy excited about school. She made me a bit nuts! She was asleep by 7 and up at 5 am! She was powered to go. She even wanted a bow (melt my heart). We got to school and she was pumped to see Addison and Katie. Then the bell rang... She got a bit teared up but I pushed her out the door fast so she didn't have time to think about it. Addison is a first grader so she rules the school. She walked Ansley to Mrs. Moses class and then picked her up after school. Ansley's favorite things today were seeing her teacher, having her own nap mat, eating in the cafeteria, and meeting coach Cloy!!
Time to go!! Thanks Grandma for the cool lunch box and backpack!!

Growing up

This week I have been preparing my classroom for Monday when school starts. This year I will have three new students and Ansley will be joining the Sweet Apple gang. Today was sneak peak! She got to meet her teacher!

Our school is a good place to clock in a mile walk throughout the day. The kindergarten hallway is on the opposite end of where hallway is. Her comment was "mommy are we there yet. My legs are tired!"
After school Ansley had her five year old checkup. She loved telling everyone that she is 5 now. She ended up being in the 75th percentile for height and weight. She weighed 44 pounds and is 44 inches in height! Easy enough. Unfortunately, she needed a shot this time. She thought the finger prick was fun and cool. Then came the shot. Pretty sure the hallway loved hearing her scream. Luckily for them it only lasted for a brief second. She walked away with a brave face and lollipop.
She ended a busy day playing with her brother. While Bob and I were downstairs catching up on our day, the kids were upstairs playing. Ansley came down and informed us that James went potty and that she helped him. Oh dear! First of all his potty seat and stool are on the main floor in the boys bathroom. Second, where did he potty? Hopefully in the potty. Luckily, he did potty in the toilet with his sisters help. Looks like Ansley has a new chore!

Last minute summer fun

So last weekend I came home early from the lake to finish Ansley's new room and get back to school stuff ready. I managed to get her room done with the help of my dad. School clothes and shoes are ready. Monday the kids and I went to Catch air to burn some energy off with Frances while remaining cool inside. Tuesday we had a blast at the pool. Ansley and Frances made some yummy peanut butter and pretzel sandwiches. However, the pool is feeling like bath water these days.

My dad came over later to help hang a mirror in the hallway. He got a little bit of help from James. It is only fitting that James be shirtless.






Last but not least this is what happens when you are stuck playing with your sister and girl cousin.

Happy birthday to my big girl

Our princess turned 5 today!!! She was all kinds of excited when I got home today. This year she got a bigger better room and a cabbage patch baby. It feels like she has been celebrating for a week because her party was last weekend. This year Ansley has grown into such a fun and smart girl. She enjoys playing with her dolls and figurines. She must have at least 10 different dolls and millions of figurines. She has become a master at the iPad! She is super excited to go to work with me and start kindergarten! This week I am back at work. She still has one more week off so she is hanging out with grandparents. Today she spent the day with Bob's parents.
They had a great time at Johnny Rockets even though she got embarrassed when they sang happy birthday to her.











She then ended the day sleeping over with GranDonna and grandad. This is a picture of her crashing with her gift from my brother (I spy game) in her hand.

My big boy!

James has really taken to potty training. He is using the big boy potty. He woke up on Saturday and asked to go potty. He is enjoying being back at Mt. Pisgah and loving it!! He stayed dry all day today even when he got home. He went potty 4 times today at school and then 3 times at home!! Go tank!!!
