Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas with three kids is full of excitement and non stop surprises! This year Henry is on the move. Not to interested in the presents but got into the boxes and wrapping paper. All of December Henry has been fighting an ear infection. His poor little ears can not get rid of the fluid! So this week was no exception. He was put on one antibiotic and then switched to another one. So far we have been through 7 antibiotics. No need to say it I am chatting with the doctor next week.
Enough about Henry's ears... Santa was up until the wee hours preparing the toys for the kids. Santa delivered and the kids were excited!! James got a pedal digger, Ansley got a karaoke machine, and Henry got a grow with me kitchen. Unfortunately, the karaoke machine was run over by Henry within 10 minutes. He just pushed it and it hit the hard wood and broke. Ansley wrote a letter to Santa asking him to fix it. Santa's elves have their work cut out!!!

We have had a wonderful and blessed Christmas this year!!

Getting ready for Christmas

This year the house was decorated with some fun lights. The Christmas tree had ornaments on it from halfway up to the top! We worked really hard this season on helping our kids understand the true meaning of
Christmas! Our church did a wonderful job starting off the advent season with a Happy Birthday Jesus party. The kids made cute crafts! One if the best was the advent tree. It is a tree made from match boxes. Each day has an act of kindness to do!

James got to ring the Salvation Army bell for one of the guys in front of our local grocery store I give his hand a break. The smile on that mans face I will never forget. Of course James would not let me take a picture of him. We had a neighborhood friend over for hot chocolate. Check out the link it has the slips if paper that you can print off!

Christmas Eve service. Ansley participated in the children's service which told the story of Jesus' birth. She sang Away in the manger with her choir! Then turned into a stable animal! We are so blessed to have such a beautiful service for the young ones!





Yes I was taking pictures again in church! But really what a sweet picture. And the church is still standing.

Happy 4th Birthday James

After celebrating Henry's birthday we quickly changed modes into a pirate themed 4th Birthday party for James. He had a couple friends from the neighborhood over to celebrate. We had a jump house set up in the backyard. We have never done this before but I would do it again in a heartbeat! My kids jumped in it from the time it came until it was taken away! We managed to eat lunch, have cake, and went back to bouncing without anyone getting sick!!
James has the sweetest personality. He is very caring and tends to be extremely sensitive. He loves his preschool and is learning so much!
Some of my favorite things James does/says:
-"I can't know how."
-"Don't you know."
-When he is intensely playing with a toy on the floor he lays down on his stomach and checks it out.
-He loves his sister. Whatever she says is the word!
- You can always catch him singing the hosannah song to himself.
- Oscar (dog) rarely gets a moment to himself when James doesn't have Ansley around.
- He always has a chair train somewhere in the house.
- He loves wearing his papa caps and sweaters.
- His favorite TV show Jake and the Neverland pirates.
- he wants to be a mommy when he grows up.
- James loves playing outside. The boy would be out all day if I let him even in the rain and cold.

I could write so much more but I will leave you with that much!!

Busy week

I haven't blogged in a while. December is a busy month for us not only do we have Jesus' birthday but we have mine on the 7th, Henry 9th, GranDonna 13th, and James 16th! It is a full month of celebrating!
Last week James decided to make it even more interesting!
I took the boys to play at Garrad landing park. I wanted to check out the covered bridge for pictures. We got there and there was the tallest, scariest play structure. The boys eyes bugged out with pure joy to play on it! While I was pushing Henry on the swing James and Thomas played. As I was walking over and telling the boys one more time I watch James run up the steep ladder, slip, and fall head first. While falling he hit the back of his head on a metal pole and then landed on the metal platform on the front part of his head. And he was out. This was my worst fear happening. The worst part was i watched it happen in slow motion. I have never run so fast with Henry in my arms. He was out cold for what seemed like forever when realistically it was only seconds. During those seconds I froze! I couldn't figure out if I should call 911 or what!
He came to and I assessed the situation and got him in the car. We rushed to urgent car at children's. Luckily my parents house was on the way so I dropped off the other two boys and grabbed mom for support. They kept us for an hour or so because James wouldn't talk to anyone (mostly because he was scared). Once he got a Popsicle and saw the fish he came around. He walked away with a minor concusion and a swollen side of the face. I have never been so scared! I am sure this wont be the last time something like this happens with 2 boys!! Just glad we haven't broken anything yet!

He is in baby jail because he won't leave the outlets alone while I get everyone ready for bed. He has a night light obsession!

Happy Happy 1st Birthday!

I can't believe our baby is one! My how this year has flown by! Henry has brought so much joy and excitement to this family! Ansley and James would do anything for him and he takes full advantage of it!!
In honor of Henry's 1st birthday.. Below are 10 of my favorites of Henry:
1) he doesn't just walk he runs places.. Mostly to the toliet when the door is left open, the oven when the knobs are left on, the dog bowl, or the dishwasher just to name a few!!!
2) He loves to play outside. He gets mad if the other two are out there and he is stuck inside with boring me!
3) He says "wow" more times than anything else. He can also say dada and mama. He loves to bark like a dog when he hears one.
4) If you eat in front of him you better have enough to share!
5) The moment Aunt Caroline pulls out her camera he poses and hams it up! I pull out mine and nothing.
6) Don't tell him no or the tears come and he goes from 0-60 in no time!
7) Bob walks in the door and everyone else disappears!
8) He has mad dancing skills. He looks like he is break dancing when he is throwing out his moves to 104.7!
9) When giving him his drink he starts smacking his lips.
10) He refuses to wave goodbye to anything but a bus or car! Sometimes I feel the need to apologize to people because he just stares at them like they are talking French!
