15 weeks (puppies)

Today the puppies had a vet check up. Thankfully we are almost done with the visits. My vet and I have decided it would be more affordable to get together with the kids than to keep meeting at the office for visits:) 

After the vet my Mom, Henry, the puppies, and I went to Home Depot for some paint and socialization for the pups! I was surprised at how well Skye and Rocky did!! 

Skye is definitely coming around when it comes to liking Henry! 

Needless to say after a vet trip, Home Depot, and playing with Bentley they are exhausted!

And so is this kid. He has been my big helper all day. He even helped me paint. He gave it up at 3:40 when he was playing on the ottoman. He literally will sleep anywhere he falls.

While I painted and mom helped me pack the dining room the puppies played. The played hard for a good 5 hours! At the end of the play date this is where I found Rocky! The pups have been passed out since Bentley left. Next week should be interesting under the same roof 24-7! 

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Last week we had a surprise party for mom! This weekend we went to Callaway to continue the celebration.


Pretty sure we did an awesome job wearing out the kids. Bike riding, lots of walking, birds of prey, butterfly garden, and some fun colligate looking plants and then more bike riding!




















He can keep himself busy with anything even a rock!

Tailgating

Last week we went to the GT tailgate! The kids and I stayed for the party and then came home. Bob and some friends went to the game. They loved watching the band, cheerleaders, and players walk!











Pretty sure Henry's highlight was riding the MARTA train. He is still asking to go back on it. I am currently using it to my advantage so as soon as he he drops some bombs in the toilet and not his pants we will be riding the train.

Ansley's party

We finally celebrated Ansley's birthday. She had some girlfriends over. Most are in her class and have been with her since first grade. They are such sweet girls. We did a craft and then watched Dolphin Tale to prepare for the new movie coming out this weekend.... Dolphin Tale 2. In between there was tons of girl talk, dancing to one direction, pizza and popcorn eating, and of course some puppy love! All while hanging out in their pajamas!

Skye and Rocky

Meet Skye and Rocky. They are almost 11 weeks old. Such sweetness. The kids are doing well with them. I have to keep a third eye on Henry but he is learning. Rocky has such a laid back personality. He just rolls over and wants his belly rubbed. Skye is our spunky one. She is fast and smart.





Kisses are plentiful.

And this is why Skye tries to keep her distance. This is his new way of holding the puppies. Rocky is getting to heavy for him so little girl is his target. She is not very appreciative of his thoughtfulness!


Training has begun. The potty part is going well for the dogs. Command training starts this week. We worked on it some last week and they have done well with come!

Henry's preschool class

Henry's first week at preschool was a success! No tears just tons of fun! He is going three days a week. Fingers crossed that he starts talking in English more. Chinese is getting really hard to understand.

Football!

Today was the first Tech game! Woohoo. To bad it was at 12:30 and the sun was rough. The kids lasted until 12:47. We were at the tailgate longer than the game!oh well it was fun.

First day of school

The kids were up and ready to go by 7:30! Too bad the bus doesn't come until 8:06. Ansley was beyond excited. She started 3rd grade. Third grade is upstairs which is so fun! In her words! The best thing is she
Has to pass James' room to get there so she was able to ease his mind while heading to kindergarten! I wish I could say it was quiet around here but having a kitchen and basement full of fans was anything but peaceful. White noise is only fun for so long. We found out yesterday
Morning that the fridge flooded out kitchen which has hardwoods and flooded the basement. Now we are dealing with buckled floors. All the while trying to keep Henry from being too depressed because the yellow bus left him.


Grandma always comes to see the kids off on the first day. This year she brought Bentley who was a delight! And yes Henry is in line for the bus.

Kindergarten!!! So excited to ride the bus and go to big school!


2 year old convinced he can sneak onto the bus and no one will notice! Ansley was trying to be sweet and told him he can't go to school without shoes on (don't mind the long sleeve snowman shirt but make sure he has shoes) he busted up that driveway and into the house so fast.


And then he was crushed! The bus pulled away and he was left. So sad. Silent tears. Dreams crushed! Then came a two hour depression. He kept that backpack on convinced the bus was coming back for him. I promise we tried to prepare him all weekend.

GranDonna came to the rescue. She took Henry out on a lunch date. I told him after the bus left that GranDonna was going to pick him up and take him. Well he was super pumped to see her. Ran up to her and asked for a boat ride. Guess I should have told him that she was taking him to eat and play. He associates GranDonna with the lake. He got over it and had a blast.
He decided to start the date off with a quick nap.

The kids had a fabulous day. They both were excited. Ansley has her own permanent markers at school and James got to dance. I love hearing James' questions about life. Tonight he was concerned that he was going to be in the same classroom when he was Ansley's age. He didn't want to be too big for the room. Love him!
