My dad rocks!!

I am a Pinterest addict! I might have a problem. Fortunately for My dad he gets to have so much fun too! He is a trouper with all my crazy ideas.
My kids love making tents.
This is what our front living room looks like lately. I love that they enjoy making tents and working together. It is a bother when Henry the tornado comes through. They have learned to build it during nap time.





I have to say that this Pinterest make was the best. My dad did the building and I was there to hold the hammer and take notes.
This is James' tent. Not everyday do you see batman protecting a tent!!





Ansley decided to sleep in hers tonight. This was after she did her homework in it!





James calls her tent the princess tent. Such a sweet brother!

Beautiful day!

There is not a better way to spend a beautiful day than playing at the zoo! It wasn't too crowded and most of the animals were enjoying the sun! We had the pleasure of meeting the new baby pandas, seeing the new baby gorillas cling to their moms and the teenagers playing arounds, and the elephant getting fed!!
Ansley's favorite part was seeing the baby pandas, James' favorite part was seeing the elephant, and Henry can't stop making the monkey sound.












Of course James loved every moment of the petting zoo. He managed to only have a couple conversations with the zoo keepers and animals! For those of you who aren't around James much he doesn't know a stranger.











Pretty sure the goat Ansley was petting was snoring.











The kids loved checking out all the snakes. Captured this sweet moment. The boys are so lucky to have such a sweet and caring older sister. Ansley was in tears tonight because all Henry wanted to do was wrestle and pull her hair. And so the life of living with brothers continues. He did stop for a moment to give Ansley a hug and kiss when she was crying.




Then we ended the day playing with my cousin and her kids! Ansley and James had a blast while we got to play with baby Kayden!

Pirate day!

Today we went to Fernbank Museum for pirate day! What fun!!! GranDonna, Linda, and I took James, Thomas, and Henry. We had Fun and then best part was everyone behaved! Ansley and Bob went to a GT basketball game.
The boys decided to stand still for a quick picture!








James and Thomas got newspaper swords. Then they had to walk the plank. Sorry the pictures are so dark.











James picked these pirates out to get a picture with!

Henry's first hair cut

Today I decided it was time to get Henry an official haircut. Grandma has been the go to for his hair cuts but now he needed to have a real one. He has been sporting a bit of a mullet/ long hair. Henry is a handsome blue eyed boy and I wasn't about to line him up to be called a girl!! He is two now so I couldn't tell what attitude I was going to get. Sweet Henry showed up. He sat nicely and played but did not want anything to do with the robe. So he was covered in hair. Edith did a wonderful job! Exactly what I wanted!!! I tried to get a good picture but failed. So on the way home we made use of my photographer sister!

Opps Christmas with Cousins

Somehow I failed to post pictures from our Christmas with my Cousins. So here are a few. I have to thank my Cousin Melanie for taking these because I didn't take any that night. The kids love having the boys come over! Melanie has raised such wonderful, loving, and caring boys. They don't mind that the little ones are hanging all over them and pretty much worship the ground they walk on! Thanks boys for letting my kids make such wonderful memories!

Oh James!

If you know James then you know he will talk to anything that moves. He likes to talk it can be a person or an animal. He doesn't discriminate. Today at church the kids were called down for Tell us our story. James doesn't usually speak much during this time. I really think he saves it all up for his Sunday school class. When I pick him up I usually learn what family information he has shared with the group. However, today during children's time Phil told the kids not to sit but to find something in the chapel that holds water. Of course the kids go to the communion first and then are stumped. Phil leads them over to the Baptism Font (not sure that is the correct spelling so forgive me).  He then proceeds to ask them what it is. From the corner of the group you hear James say "Its a baby shower." Such an innocent response! He had not one clue of understanding as to why we were all chuckling. Hopefully he did walk away with the correct meaning and name. Only time will tell when he talks to that lucky individual or animal about it! So much love for James!!

First weekend of 2014

James and Ansley both had swimming on Saturday. Henry was hoping we would let him in! Both older kids did well despite being out of the water since September. James told me he was to do it everyday! He is a fish!

James made sure I had a picture of his spiky hair!

Ansley went to art camp on Friday and came home with some awesome pictures that she painted!!

James and Oscar love sleeping together! It is amazing how they sleep all over each other a s neither seems to care!

Winter lake fun1

We stayed at the Lake after Christmas to enjoy some quiet time! The lake was down so we were able to throw rocks and explore.
