Happy Halloween

We started Halloween with an early morning trip to CHOA to get tubes. Thanks to my mom who had a sleep over in James' room! Henry was a dream this morning. He didn't seem to mind that he couldn't eat or drink. He waited patiently (of course watching Nemo helped) while all the other kids were hot messes. When it was time I went back with him to hold his hand while he was put to sleep. That was the hardest part. It was amazing how fast he was done. The doctor said his ears were full of hard goo. He cleaned out the infection. He warned us that he might be noise sensitive because noises wouldn't be muffled anymore. He woke up happy and calm and ready to finish Nemo. I have already seen small improvements. When we got home I called his name and he answered immediately. Usually it takes a little more than that!!





After some rest. It was time for Halloween! The Nemo costume turned into a football player!



We have the privilege of having wonderful friends and neighbors! We all gathered at the Hunters for food and craziness!!





Ansley was a fancy witch. She picked her own costume out this year. She is very proud of it! James was a pirate for the third year! I do have to say he gets cuter every year in it. Henry was suppose to be Nemo however when it came time he did not want to wear it. So a football player it was!








Had to add this photo at the end! I have an issue with not bathing my kids before bed. Henry can't get his head wet for 2 days. But there was no way he wasn't getting germs off the rest of his body! He enjoyed his sink bath. He even laid down willingly for ear drops!

Can't get enough of the patch!

Today we went back to the ENT trip for our follow up from July. In July we were sent to the ENT because of Henry's 9 infections. We agreed that one more and tubes were in order. So he did have one more but it was minor so I wasn't too concerned. I walked in feeling really confident that we had already had one cold and no infection! So when the doctor asked I replied that he has been fine except for fluid. His speech as picked up a little. I still would like to see him less frustrated and be able to tell us more of what he wants than trying to guess what he is saying. Henry immediately pointed to his ear a says ouch. Never done that before. Stinker! Doctor looks and says wow. I was thinking I know perfect ears. Nope filled with yucky fluid all the way to the top. He explained that if we gave him a hearing test it would come back with minor hearing loss. Just what every mother wants to hear! He also said he must be in terrible pain. That was a heart breaker. Too bad he never runs a fever or shows any other signs. As we looked over and he was being his mischievous self! the doctor says you would never know his ears were hurting. There was no debate I was told tubes and see you Thursday. In a way I am relieved that he will have some relief from pain. Don't look forward to the process. Of course I will get some cute pictures of him!
After nap we met my sister at the pumpkin patch!

Pumpkins!!

This was the best picture I could get of the kids. It all went well until Henry tossed his pumpkin as soon as I said say cheese! Love that kid! Always keeping it real.





Henry was all about rolling the pumpkins! Unfortunately my sister wasn't there to hog tie my kids to get more pictures. Hopefully we can make one more trip up there!

Halloween practice

Last weekend we started the Halloween festivities. First stop was Bob's work for trick or treating!!


Nemo just looks so cute from behind!


Next stop... Neighborhood party!





Last stop.. Bob's Halloween party ! The kids spent most of the night in the bounce house!


The kids have gotten enough practice and are ready for the big night on Thursday!!

Family Movie night

This was Henry's first family movie night! First step to the night was to make cookies!


Then cuddle on the couch until we decide on a movie.... Jimmy Neutron it is!


Then there was silence!


Then Henry found himself needing to be closer to the TV.


Everyone made it through the movie and fell right to sleep. I would call it a successful night!

Boy time

While the girls were off at Grandmas sleepover he boys and I headed off to Dekalb peachtree airport to play and eat dinner!
Planes everywhere!!!





Henry wanted to touch this plane so bad. He tried every which way to climb over the bushes to get there.

Grandma time!

This week we celebrated my Mom's birthday! Dad cooked some ribs and his famous birthday cake. Ansley makes sure Granddaddy knows that he better make this cake!

Once Henry pounded his piece he knew not to hit me up because I don't share birthday cake. His eyes immediately went to Grandma. He didn't even wait for his spoonful he took care of Grandmas share!

On Friday the girls had a sleep over at my parents house. The girls literally say hi and head into the house to play. It is a kids paradise over there! Mom said they would come downstairs when they needed food. And eventually they did!

Our princess! Ansley is still our kind, open hearted, smart girl! She is doing well in school. When I ask her what her favorite thing is at dinner 80% of the time
I get the response "chasing boys at recess!"





My sister rocks at photography so every chance I get I make her take pictures of my kids. Most of the time Ansley is to busy to stop what she is doing to get a camera shot in!


She loves riding her bike up and down our street. Her favorite toy is her American Girl doll. She enjoys reading the magic treehouse series and she can't get enough of writing in her diaries. We couldn't ask for a more kind hearted and beautiful daughter!

What is Henry up to??

I guess I should have titled it What is Henry not up to! He brings so much adventure and joy to our family. We can't help but laugh at his quirks! He can go from Having an ultimate toddler melt down to dry eyes back to his earth happy kid! He definitely keeps us all on our toes! He climbs on anything. He knows how to use furniture to build a ladder to get what he wants. He has no fear and to be quit honest he falls like a cat, always landing on his feet! This week he learned to sit on the big kids swing. He even thinks it is fun to lay back as put his feet on the chains! He nearly made grandma loose her dinner tonight when he did this. And I sound like the mom of three saying yep there he goes again.
He has finally started talking. Never thought it would happen. His new word this week is Heeve Ho (spelling way off) from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Anytime he opens a draw you can hear him repeating this! Too cute. He is always asking "Where is Dadda or Sissy?"
He still answers no for everything but we can tell by the way he answers if it is a yes! When he answers yes it sounds like "sey."
All I can say is hooray for talking!
Below are just some stunts he likes to do!








He loves his Baylor (aka brother from another mother). I keep this dream three days a week. The kids can't get enough of him. Henry loves doing big brother things. This day he wanted to help feed him. Luckily Baylor is a very patient baby.


At least once a week we find him like this when we go to bed! This week he had clothes and diaper off. Fantastic!


And these doors are not left open anymore!


Recently he decided to put his head through a wall. He manage to just walk away with a cut no bruise! Unreal. Of course this happened right before bed.





This was right after so he had a red mark and that was as bad as it got! Phew!!


Henry absolutely loves his sister! Which isn't surprising because she is such a caring and loving girl! He is always asking where she and daddy are! He wants to be near her all the time. James is his wrestling buddy. They are all boy when they are together. Surprising Henry hit a wall with his head while playing with his brother!
