Counting

I got Ansley three new puzzles. One of them is a number puzzle by Melissa and Doug. If you have children these are the best puzzles. We talked about the puzzle yesterday and counted with the puzzle. Well today Ansley stayed with Caroline all day while I was at work. I guess when you have two kids why not add another one to the mix. Well I guess Caroline wanted Ansley to come to her today and she started counting. Being the smarty Ansley has suddenly become she continues to count to 8 leaving out 5. For some reason the number five is not appealing to her. But it is unreal how smart she is!!! However, on that note she is becoming more familiar with time out these days. She has only been put on the rooster rug maybe a hand full of times. But it is working. She sits for a minute turning all shades of red and purple. But she doesn't move!!! Then we all make up and life goes on. She is such a good girl.
Above is a picture of Ansley praying at dinner. This is one of those moments that I will remember forever. We sat down for dinner tonight and she folded her hand and said pray. We said the prayer and she said AMEN!! Then we all gave high five.

Ansley stole Christmas.

So I haven't been good with taking pictures this week. However, I found this picture of Ansley in the bathtub from a couple months ago. She should have been an extra in the Grinch who stole Christmas!!!

Ansley has recently become even more obssessed with babies (if that is even possible). She can't keep her eyes of Baby Thomas. She is even making the ladies in the toddler room at church pick her up so she can see the nursery. It is becoming a little embarassing. Rusty seems to bring out the loud side of her. We were eating Mexican the other night and she didn't really get the whole use your indoor voice. Thank goodness we were at Los Rancheros where it is kid friendly. Unfortunately we were there so early so we could entertain everyone around us. Hopefully I can get some video of this so everyone can enjoy her love of life and babies.

This week Ansley has started really talking. Half the time we just listen and nod. She also enjoys climbing up into her high chair and buckling herself in. When you can't find her she is either under the table with Oscar or in her high chair. She is at such an awesome age. Everyday she is suprising Bob and I!!! I can't believe she is really ours to keep. I love being her mom.

Our family is finally on the mend from the wonderful flu virus. Ansley only seemed to have it for 24 hours. However, Bob and I were both knocked out for a week. At least it was different weeks. Ansley was so excited to have us both around again today.
Ansley had a great Valentine's Day. She got some cute valentines from her friends at school. She really loved her book from Aunt Wendy and Uncle Tom. Thanks!!!!
Ansley has been really blossoming these past couple of weeks. She has started putting words together to form sentences. Her favorite time is when we all sit at the table for meals and she tells us Daddy sit here, mommy(or as she says money) sit here, and Ansley sit here. It is so cute!! The best part of the day seems to be when she gets up in the morning, gets in her chair, and asks for cereal. She then proceeds to set her place up; bunny and doggie facing her in the sitting up position. We both sit down and eat our cereal and I look over and she is feeding her friends. Too much!!!
These days Ansley is really into babies... thanks Aunt Caroline... Today my mom was watching Thomas when I stopped by to pick up Ansley. Ansley has to make sure that we all know baby Thomas is in the room at least every 30 seconds if not more. Mom proceeded to ask Ansley if she wanted a baby brother. Of course Ansley said yes. However, I think she really said yeah right!!

Wishes do come true!!

Well Ansley finally got her wish.. to be naked in public. She has been working up to this moment. Fortunately for me it happened at the mall with her GranDonna. And fortunately for all of you GranDonna took pictures!!!

Ansley spilled milk all over her shirt. Of course this bothered her so GranDonna got creative and pulled her shirt over her head. Ansley just thought this was the best!!!! What a little monkey.
