Ultrasound pictures

Here are the only pictures baby boy would allow of his features.
The tech couldn't get past the flowing hair. Looks like he is taking after his sister.

Along with the surprise of him being breech I wanted to make sure he was still a boy. Yes I understand what is written but feel a little like Rachel from Friends... Couldn't tell you exactly where the part is.

And this is what he thought of us messing with him. This was right before he flipped over and hid his cute features.

Hopefully we will get some better pictures on Tuesday.

Baby boy has his own agenda

I had my weekly doctor appointment on Tuesday. I was expecting to be about a centimeter dilated and in for the long haul! Just like the other two. Baby boys heartbeat is strong and he was still playing around with the doctor. As soon as she put the monitor on him he flipped to the other side. Talent right there!! When she checked me I was 1 and 50%. So nothing big! However, she was unable to find the head. That was a fun experience. After an ultra sound I got the upsetting news that he is breech. The butt I had been feeling is actually his head. No wonder he gets all wiggly and such when I poke and play around with him. He is roughy 6 pounds 11 ounces with plenty of fluid. He was not happy to be on camera so he immediately flipped over before we could get a picture of his face. He does have a massive amount of hair just like his sister! The doctor had hope he might turn due to his amount of activity and the good amount of fluid. He has been in this position so long I don't really feel good that he will turn. So the c- section has been scheduled for the 16th. Hopefully they will have a cancellation and it will get moved off of James' birthday. I am still having mixed feelings about having a c-section. We have another ultrasound on Tuesday so hopefully he won't be camera shy! Maybe by Tuesday we might have a name or two for this baby but don't get your hopes up!

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving week started off with a trip to the Labor and Delivery room Monday night. After lunch on Monday I was unable to get rid of my Braxton Hicks contractions. I new I wasn't in labor because those are definitely not the "labor" contractions, however they were not making me very comfortable. I called the doctor just to see if they could give me any other tips on how to get rid of the tightness. Once the on call nurse realized it was my third pregnancy she didn't hesistate to send me packing to the ER. It is really nice living in the same neighborhood with family. Caroline was over in a matter of minutes and my mom followed. As soon as Bob got home we headed down to Piedmont. Glad we went because my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. The doctor checked me and I was dialated and the cervix was still thick! After an hour they gave me some medicine to stop the contractions which worked and then sent us home!! Then on Wednesday the not so nice contractions started at 2 am and hung around until 5am. That was fun luckily there was a five day Friends marathon going on! So far the false labor has remained quiet for the rest of the week. I am only 37 weeks and three days he needs at least another 2 weeks to cook. However, this week I took advantage of being off work to finish the nursery and wash all the clothes and blankets. Everything is ready to go when we decide to kick him out. I have an appointment on Monday so we should know better the inducement date. The plan was to maybe induce at 39 weeks due to James being 8'11 at 40 weeks.
Thanksgiving has been a wonderful family time. We spent Thanksgiving day with my family and then Friday with Bob's family. It was nice spliting Thanksgiving into two days instead of trying to eat tons of Turkey into one day.
Today Bob headed off to the GT vs. GA game while the kids and I stayed home and played around the house. It is amazing how much the kids love playing in the backyard. Moving into this house has been the greatest blessing for us.
Ansley has been asking since she woke up this morning to decorate the Christmas Tree. Uncle Rusty and family walked over this morning and put it up for me. That was enough to hold the kids off until Bob got home and they immediately ran to the tree and started decorating.
Had to get a pose in!

 The finished tree!!
Excuse the shelves. They are a decorating work in progress. I took this picture to show the cute reindeer by the TV.
Stay tuned for Thanksgiving pictures....

Baby news and illness

I promise I will take the time to post some pictures this weekend. Now that my iPad is updated the blogpress is not working so I can't post pictures as easy. We are settling into the house and really beginning to get ready for this next baby. I went to the doctor today. He is sounding good. Dr. And I had a chat about how big he might be. She said I am measuring perfect. I do feel smaller than I did at this point with James. He doesnt seem to be as heavy as James was at this point. A tentative plan right now is to induce me at 39 weeks which will be December 9. I feel a bit hesitant about that due to the fact that boys seem to need extra cook time. My next appointment will tell more. However, I am not getting anything in my head or schedule because my kids have a plan of their own inside of me. He will come when he is ready. Plus I need more time to get this house in order.
As for the other two kids. James battled with the stomach bug over the weekend and atheletes foot. Not a bad one but still one that kept us away from the world. As far as his feet. He eas complaining last week of bugs on his feet. I guess I should listen to my kids more because in way he did have bugs in his feet. After a new pair of breathable shoes and lotrimin spray the sores are gone.
Ansley started complaining of her stomach on Monday. It took me until Wednesday and some guidance from my sister to realize her attitude and stomach ache was probably strep. And so it is strep. S it is her second case since the end of Sept. awesome!!! The worst part is she doesn't get a fever so I send her to school to contaminate the place. Since she is allergic to amoxicillin she is on the 5 day azihromizan pack. Hopefully this will get rid of this for good!!! Otherwise she is doing great. She is reading so well now. She doesn't hesitate to sound out any word. I love it!!!! She gets so much pride in reading a book herself.
Stay tuned for pictures to come!!!

Catch up

I realize it has been a long time since I posted last. The software I use has been acting up so I am back to the old school way for now. Of course I can't just blame the software I must also admitt that it is has been a little busy around here. For the past couple weeks we had been packing up our lives to move into a new house. As most of you know we have been trying to sell our house and move into a different neighborhood. We finally moved!!!! Our new house is amazing. We are three streets away from my sister, 8 houses down from some friends, and two streets away from another set. Thankfully moved in during Halloween so we have gotten to socialize with some of the neighbors. We have numerous kids on our street which is a change from 2 kids. The kids and the dog are loving the backyard. I can be anywhere downstairs and see them playing on the playset or trampoline. We are all sleeping on the same level now! When I get the house setup I will put up pictures. Most of the boxes are out and now it is time to organize. Ansley keeps asking me if we can stay in this house forever. I tell her she can stay until she is 25:) Her reply is "wow that is old." Thanks Ansley!! Lately my sweet innocent 5 year old has been showing me what it is going to be like to live with her during her teenage years. That is when Bob will get sole discipline duty. For example, we were on our way to church on and we passed the old house. Ansley commented on how Mommy would never let her play on that playground (in a less than nice voice). I in turn said that was rude if you can't say anything nice there is no need to say anything at all. She so quickly responded. God gave me this voice to talk and he wants me to. If that doesn't just set my hormones spinning. Holding back I suggest she put her nice voice back on and speak to her mommy like God would want her too. Then I got a bunch of well mommy. At that point I told her to sit back and listen to the music in my nice as can be mommy voice. Luckily, it takes one trip to timeout to set her back on a nice track. Her star chart also reels her back in to my respectful cutie pie!!!
James is still enjoying life. He is fully potty trained!! He is growing like a weed. He is only two shoe sizes below Ansley. He continues to surprise us daily. He was unloading the dishwasher yesterday when Bob and I caught him counting the cups out in Spanish up to 8. Thank you Mt. Pisgah!! When he just feels like talking he starts off the sentence with "Sometimes...." Hopefully I can get it on video so all can enjoy!
