Finally got James on video rolling over.
This is Bob's first attempt to teach Ansley to swim. She really liked it. It only took us all week to convince her that the pool is fun ever since she fell in during pictures a couple weeks ago.

Beach
Well we made our first vacation as a family of 4 to the beach. It was a success. Bob decided the night before that we needed a minivan to make the trip easier. Of course I am not going to argue with that one. So what did we do we bought a mommy van at 7:00 the night before we were suppose to leave. I have to say it is awesome. The comfort level was great!! I can officially say I am a soccor mom now. For all of you who haven't experienced life with a minivan you are so missing out on an important part of mommy hood. Dont deny yourself:)
Anyway, the beach was a blast!! We got to stay with the Crutchfield Clan. Ansley couldn't get enough of her cousin Logan and Celia. Everytime she woke up from nighttime or nap the first thing out of her mouth was Logan. It was too cute. I am pretty sure he ate it up too. Ansley really enjoyed making sandcastles and chasing birds. She wasn't so sure about the ocean. I am pretty sure she is going to be a runner when she gets older. She must have run 1/2 mile chasing birds.
James only made it out to the beach during the wee early hours (4;30am). He was not so sure about the vacation. Sleep was not his priority. He reverted back to his newborn days of waking up all the time at night. Luckily GranDonna was there to help us out!! He did however love the pool. He just thought that it was a huge bath tub!!! Now that we are back he thinks his little tub is a pool. The bathroom was soaked last night due to all of his kicking.
Hopefully we can do the beach next year and have just as much fun if not more. Ansley woke up this morning asking to go to the beach. Below are just a few pictures!!
Of course the moment we get back from the beach all chaos breaks loose. My house is not longer white it is a light shade of yellow. The painters came last week and instead of doing just the trim white they painted the entire house (light yellow/ trim white). Luckily it was there mistake so we have a beautiful newly painted house. I do have to say it was an awesome mistake. Love the color!! Then my air conditioning goes... it is over 80 degrees in the house. Memorial Weekend.
Friday we headed out for our first road trip as a family of 4 plus a dog. It was a bit frightening at first. I didn't plan activities well in the car but things settled down and the ride was smooth. We got up to Burton around dinner time and settled in nicely! James and Ansley shared her room and did awesome even though little guy was up a lot due to the massive amount of teeth he is getting. He has gotten two and on his third one at five months. Unreal!! Can't wait for this to be over with. We were able to get some good boat rides and playtime before the weather came in. James got to go on his first boat ride...think he may have a bit of a weak stomach for that. He could not move in the life vest. His poor cheeks were smooshed which gave him the cutest look!! He loved sleeping on the porch with his GranDonna. I actually got a little bit of time to relax and read a book.
We headed back on Sunday for my nieces graduation party (Paige). She graduated from school and is headed to SCAD this fall. Ansley really enjoyed running around and dipping her body in the pool. She was a bit skiddish about swimming in the pool with Tom. She told Wendy she would come back next weekend and swim. She is too funny. 4 more days
This school year has flown by. It has been a great year with wonderful kids. And of course I have to say great assistance or more like great friends. Yes we have gotten beat up and a new one this year...called 4 letter words numerous times. But I would not trade this year for any other year. My students have come so far. One who didn't even communicate last year has mastered his personal computer and loves to communicate with us. Another one has reduced his hitting to maybe 1-2 times per week which has decreased from 10-11 times per day last year. But with that said there is only 4 more days and I can't wait!!
Now onto the kids. We had a great weekend. It flew by so fast. One of my dearest friends from high school came over with her family. We had so much fun. James was able to hold back the puck long enough to not scare them to much (they have a three week old with reflux). Since then he has made up for that. I really am looking into plastic outfits for myself and my mom. It is unreal how biggin can be almost 18 pounds and still hurl all over the place. Right now we are just waiting for the two bottom teeth to come in. This is taking forever.
Ansley is a doll. She is so much fun to listen to. She can just light up a room. James adores her. He starts cackling when she does. Then they both just start laughing..it is so contagious. Her new thing this week is cleaning. I got her a water bottle to clean with instead of the lysol. She has been spraying everything. I have had to lay some rules down because all I am doing is stepping in water puddles. Today I caught her cleaning James. Poor guy was soaked before I realized what she was doing. He was laughing for the longest time and then started screaming. Opps!!
Ansley got a big girl seat this weekend. Of course she picked out the pink flowered one. So she takes after me. It was time that James moved out of the infant seat. I couldn't carry that load anymore. He looks like such a big boy. He just sits there and talks, looks out the window, and talks to Ansley. They are so cute together.

Today Ansley got her very own playground!! This has been a work in progress. However, it is done and looks awesome. We will have to restain it in the near future but right now we are going to soak in some fun.

Letter A.
Yes we can spell the letter A. We have been working on this letter for a while now. She is so proud of herself. And yes she is wearing pink cowboy boots or boobs as she calls them.
Here is a random picture of Thomas. I took him home one day last week. I was the only adult around so he had to like me. He was tons of fun. I tried to get him as dirty as possible. I think he is taking after his dad. He wanted nothing of the mess. My new mission is to make him like dirt.
We had a good weekend. Saturday we spent most of our day at Floyd and Molly's wedding. Which was so beautiful. Sunday.. Ansley and I played at the Autism walk. We got to play in the bounce house, obsess over the bubbles, play at the water tables, pet bunnies, see firemen, and finally see Mr. Bananas from Sesame street (she wasn't impressed.. more frightened). WE didn't quit make it around to the walk but we had fun playing. Bob and James went to church while we were playing. I only have two more weeks of work and then it is play time.
