We had a great rest of the week with potty training. Ansley finally decided that she liked to use the big girl potty. We usually have 1-2 accidents per day and most of that is just a tiny accident to where she just gets to the potty to slow. Ansley stays with my mom on Monday and Friday. I thought that she might regress a little bit because she isn't in her usual routine, she proved me wrong. She stayed dry. This morning Bob and I woke up to hearing Ansley yelling "Oh Toodles." For those who don't watch Mickey's clubhouse at least twice a day that is what Mickey says when he needs a tool to help him.
Today was a good day we went on a 2 mile walk on the Greenway. I tried to convince her to put on a pull up because it was going to be a long walk. She proved me wrong again she stayed dry. After that I decided not to be scared of accidents and have faith that Ansley knows what she is doing.
After nap we went over to watch football and play with Frances. Frances is not convinced that the potty is where the pee goes yet. She enjoys sitting on the potty and trying to get me to give her a treat. She is really good at that. I think she will come around soon. This was Ansley's first big outing around others in her panties. She did very well. We are allowed to go back to Rusty's house. She had accidents but none big enough to leave the panties and give Rusty a heart attack. While Ansley and Frances were busy jumping down stairs and chasing each other, Thomas was coming so close to crawling. Give him a couple more days and he will be everywhere.
I also learned today that my potty mouth has to clean up. I was trying to fix something in the car and managed to drop "D*** it" About 3 seconds later I hear a little birdy in the back repeating what I said. Luckily I told her that it is a bad word and she stopped saying it and moved on to focusing on Mickey Mouse. At least she has Mickey who has a clean mouth.

More Potty Training stories

So I learned why plastic panties are not fun!!! Ansley has been doing an awesome job using the potty at school. She has been staying dry all day and using the potty however, when she comes home she has zero desire to please Mommy. Yesterday she came home and I was attempting to convince her that the potty rocks. In my pursuit of potty happiness I start to smell something. She pooped in the plastic pants. There is no clean way to get the mess clean without getting the poop everywhere. I ended up probably scarring my child for life and throwing the nasty pants away. I just couldn't bear the idea of cleaning it out and putting it in my washing machine. That is just gross.
This morning I finally got her to put on her Minnie pants. We didn't even make it 2 feet out of the house without her peeing in them. I had to breath and remind myself that I should have put her on the potty instead of trying to get to work on time. So I ended up being 10 minutes late. However, a good thing came out of the day. Ms. Johnnie her teacher had a chat with her and told her that she needed to potty for mommy. So when we got home she wore her big girl Minnie pants and went potty 3 times and stayed dry the whole day!!!! Of course I have to give props to the M&M company for giving my child the motivation to use the potty. Who knew one tiny M&M could make someones life so grand. Of course, I am not in denial these days will come and go but what a great start.

Bunnies!!

Yellow Game Ranch

This morning we went to the Yellow Game Ranch. Ansley loved it. She got to hand feed deer, goats, donkeys, and bunnies. Frances was a little skepticle of all the wild animals walking around her. This was a fun outing I would suggest taking a lot of antibacterial hand soap. The deer were the coolest part of the day. They would just walk up to you and sometimes make themselves at home in your purse. Below are some pictures from the outing.

I can sew!!

This week I finished up some cute curtains for my classroom. My mom taught me how to use the sewing machine. I only had to call her a couple times. THey turned out really cute. My next mission is to make Ansley a simple dress. Wish me luck.
Today I convinced Ansley to wear big girl pants instead of the rubber pants. She wears the rubber pants all day and usually only has 1 accident. I think by the time she gets home she is over the potty. So I am trying to pump her up to use the potty at home too. We made a trip to Kohls today and bought some Minnie and Daisy panties. She looked so cute in them. We had a little chat that Minnie doesn't like to be wet.. therefore the pee goes in the potty not on Minnie or she will cry. It worked for about 2 hours tonight. She stayed dry until it was time to take a bath. Good start!!!

This weekend we went to the Lake for the long weekend. Ansley came down with a cold so all of us ended up sleeping the long weekend away. I can't complain it was really nice.
