We have skipped town and are enjoying Lake Burton for a weekend. The kids are enjoying breakfast boat rides, swimming in the lake, playing with Logan and Celia, and lake baths. We are fortunate enough to have my nephew and niece up here with us. Ansley of course can't leave them alone!! However, we have tried our best to let them sleep and have time away from the little ones. Both kids have been tubing and loved it. This was James first time on the tube so he liked it for about 2 minutes and then wanted back in the boat. Both kids were upset when bob threw Celia and Logan off the tube. They were not having that they were enjoying the rides.
The storm damage is on its way to getting cleaned up. The houses that are still standing are getting repaired. We had fireworks last night on the lake. In the words of a two year old they were big and sparkly!!
