Books!

What better to do on an early release day than to play at Barnes and Noble! Ansley got her first American Doll book. I had told Ansley that if she read the entire series of one girl then she could get a doll. This was done hoping that by her birthday (August) she would be done and we would introduce her to the store. Right now she only thinks that the dolls have a catalog. She has no idea that there is a dream store. I was a doll freak growing up so she gets it honestly! And secretly I love the fact that she hoards baby dolls!!
This plan of mine is back firing because she is almost done with the first out of 5 books.
James is not pictured below because he was more interested in the chuggington train set.

Circus fun!

While Bob and I were up at Winshape the kids were joining the circus! Ringling Brothers Circus was in town. This is among one of my favorite memories from growing up! I couldn't wait for my kids to smell the elephants, see the motorcycle cage, and be in aww of the tigers.


















This is what Ansley brought away from the circus. James took it a couple more levels up and decided to try this on the rocking horse. Boys!!

Cousins!!

My sister caught it again!!! These two love each other so much! We are so blessed to have girls so close to each other!! The girls spent their early release at Caroline's this afternoon. Caroline said some along the lines of do something or else they wont be able to play together tomorrow. Ansley put her hands on her hip and said that doesn't matter because she will still see Frances at school. Smarty pants!

The next writer!

Ansley loves to spell and to write stories! She wrote this during church last Sunday. Her caring personality comes out in her writing! She even spelled perseverance correctly!

A spring sneak peak!

It seems as if we live in Seattle these days. We get one warm sunny day and then it turns cold and rains a couple days! Not so sure I like this pattern. We spent the afternoon riding bikes and exploring the neighborhood playground! Love our neighborhood!!!!

Ansley is enjoying her new found freedom. She was very impressed by the fact that she could ride over the speed bumps.


He really wants to be like the older kids!!

She did it!!!

I have been waiting for this day to come. I always felt a bit conflicted. Scared but excited. Yes, today is the day my baby girl learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. She hasn't been that interested in learning how to do it.
We were outside playing on the driveway and she just said I want to do it today. So I put on my big girl face and prayed that I would have the patience!! After a few times on the driveway I put Henry in the stroller and we went to the street in front of our house. With the boys looking on Ansley and I went up and down the street. I think my neighbor took pitty on me because he suggested we go to the middle school track which is in walking distance from our house. Bob arrived home from the grocery so I was able to leave Henry with him! We headed to the track and one time around she said let go and never looked back!!!! So proud!! I will never forget the look that was on her face when she went around the track the first time by herself.
Hopefully the weather will continue to be nice tomorrow so she can ride more.

Nothing better

Finally a warm day! Makes me ready for spring to hurry up and get here! We made it to James' favorite park today. He was able to run and burn off pent up energy with another kid! Meanwhile I was chasing the wild one climbing up and down everything. He is such a fun little guy. He was flirting with all the moms. After the park it was home to get Ansley off the bus and onto the backyard for some more fun.
We hit up the trampoline for some fun and exercise.


They just happened to be in this order!


He is too funny. He has the chance to take them both out and all he can think to do is "where is Henry!"

Our new closet!!!! I might put a sleeping bag in it tonight. It is amazing! This picture doesn't give it justice. The other side is similar! I wish I had taken a before picture.
