Henry's baptism

April 15th Henry was baptized into the church. Reverend Shannon Dill baptized James and we were so blessed to have her baptize Henry. I had planned to put Henry in James' outfit but Hank the tank is in 9 months clothing and it was 6 month! So GranDonna got him one that is similar. She got him he same shoes however they were two sizes bigger than his brothers! Once the outfit was taken care of it was smooth sailing!! We had a great showing of family and friends. Some of the family was meeting Henry for the first time! What a great age to meet him. He is a very patient baby so he did great being passed around.












Ahh they look so well behaved. James decided that he would be a trying three year old. Luckily my bribing of cake kept him somewhat in check.


And this was the scene at the children's story. Luckily I double knotted Ansley's dress because James thought he should pull the ribbon off.

Henry is 4 months!!

I can't believe Henry has been with us for four months. He is still the laid back content baby. He loves Ansley. They are car buddies. I can always count on her to help Feed him on the go, entertain him, or give him his pacey. Not sure how I ever made it with the other two. She loves holding him and fusing all over him.
James enjoys Henry too! He wants to be just like Ansley so he tries to imitate her motherly instincts. However, James tends to be intense and very excited at times which comes off to Henry as loud and startling. Henry is getting use to this and James is getting better at being easy. James is a big help getting Henry ready with Bob in the morning.
Henry loves watching these two play around him. Henry just gets so excited he starts running and talking.
Things about Henry:
1. He loves his tag blanket.
2. Still wants to be swaddled at naps and bedtime.
3. Has begun to suck his thumb. Still loves to have his hands in or near his mouth.
4. Grabs for his toys and squeals at them.
5. Is loud. He enjoys his voice and doesn't mind if everyone hears him.
6. He has started blowing bubbles
7. Eats 6 oz every 3-4 hours. No food yet
8. Sleeps from 7-6.
9. Laughs when your play with his feet. Very ticklish on his toes.
10. Loves being on a schedule.
We tried two weeks ago to take him off his Prevacid. That failed but at least I tried. Gonna give it another month and try again.
His stats from today:
Weight: 18.7 (97th percentile)
Height: 26 inches (90th percentile)
Head: 17 (75th percentile)
At this age James was 17 pounds and 24 1/4 inches tall. So Henry is still hanging on to the title of biggest baby. James still gets the ribbon for the biggest head.
The ladies at the office loved his rolls. They couldn't believe he was only 4 months.

Easter

It seems like each year is so much fun to see what Easter means through our kids eyes. Ansley has been learning about the resurrection at church so she was really more aware this year of what this time is about. Our church does such a wonderful job teaching the kids through music and stories. Ansley will just start breaking out in song no matter where she is. Bob and I jut get a good chuckle out of her musical skills. These are the moments I just want to bottle up. We were walking to the Forum in Saturday and she starts singing one of the cherub choir songs.
After the service on Sunday we went to my parents club for lunch with two of my siblings.

The chocolate explosion ..... James licked that bowl clean, however his outfit suffered. No worries it all came out in the wash.

Spring break part 2: The Art Barn

Next on the spring break to do list was the Art barn. I am pretty sure this is my kids favorite spot. Farmer Sue is an amazing lady. She has a beautiful farm and is full of energy!! James was so excited about the animals. He did not leave their side. He really loved the big brown horse. The horse may have gained a couple pounds from the amount of food he feed him. Ansley loved holding the ducklings however her favorite part was learning how to draw the animals with Farmer Sue. Since this was a small group Farmer Sue was able to sit down with Ansley and do art with Ansley for a good 30 mins. The kids can't wait to go back!!

Wear what you want day or days!!

The title says it all. I allowed them to dress and this is what happened. Side note: James had been a pirate for 2 days. He was rolling on his third day and decided to go all the way Jake with the costume.
Day 1: Pirate




Day 3: Brief construction worker... Couple hours later back to a pirate ( just in time to run an errand to target).

We went to the zoo on Good Friday and I had out Ansley in charge of getting her socks. Didn't notice but she had her own flavor going... Hopefully I can find a picture of that. Didn't notice her socks until we were in line at the zoo. We had a wonderful spring break.

Spring Break Part 1: River Park

We started off our week playing at the river park. The place was deserted so the playground was ours. After a fun time running around and exploring we headed to the river to see the ducks and geese. I am sure you know where this story is heading. Yep, it took the kids all of 2 minutes to get thier feet week and then the clothes were next. Fortunately, no one slipped on the rock or fell face first into the water. They had a blast and what a beautiful day. Once we got home they were sent directly to the backyard for a hose down.
