Spring break part 2: The Art Barn

Next on the spring break to do list was the Art barn. I am pretty sure this is my kids favorite spot. Farmer Sue is an amazing lady. She has a beautiful farm and is full of energy!! James was so excited about the animals. He did not leave their side. He really loved the big brown horse. The horse may have gained a couple pounds from the amount of food he feed him. Ansley loved holding the ducklings however her favorite part was learning how to draw the animals with Farmer Sue. Since this was a small group Farmer Sue was able to sit down with Ansley and do art with Ansley for a good 30 mins. The kids can't wait to go back!!

Wear what you want day or days!!

The title says it all. I allowed them to dress and this is what happened. Side note: James had been a pirate for 2 days. He was rolling on his third day and decided to go all the way Jake with the costume.
Day 1: Pirate




Day 3: Brief construction worker... Couple hours later back to a pirate ( just in time to run an errand to target).

We went to the zoo on Good Friday and I had out Ansley in charge of getting her socks. Didn't notice but she had her own flavor going... Hopefully I can find a picture of that. Didn't notice her socks until we were in line at the zoo. We had a wonderful spring break.

Spring Break Part 1: River Park

We started off our week playing at the river park. The place was deserted so the playground was ours. After a fun time running around and exploring we headed to the river to see the ducks and geese. I am sure you know where this story is heading. Yep, it took the kids all of 2 minutes to get thier feet week and then the clothes were next. Fortunately, no one slipped on the rock or fell face first into the water. They had a blast and what a beautiful day. Once we got home they were sent directly to the backyard for a hose down.

Growing

Yet again we started the week off with a sick kid. Poor Ansley had the pukes for about 3 hours on Monday morning. She was a champ at always making it to the toilet! After some good sleep she recovered. After a can of Lysol I recovered. She went on to have a great week. Ansley's grade started practice on their musical this week. I think by the time the musical debuts I might know it enough to sing along. Her best practice times are in the car on the way home from school! Bob and Ansley went to Walgreens tonight and when she arrived home she had learned a line from National Lampoons Christmas vacation... "I don't know Margo!" Melt my heart. Not sure who I was most proud of.. Bob for teaching her that or how cute she was for saying it!!!
James had a great week. His new favorite thing he learned how to do this week is to play starfall on the computer. Big thanks to the nasty pollen for keeping the kids trapped in the house after school this week. No one has bad allergies yet but the yellow stuff is just gross. He looks like such a big boy playing at the desk!! James had a great time at T ball practice this week!!! He is super pumped to be doing this and that Bob is right their him at practice and at the game.
Henry had a big milestone week. He started giggling! There is nothing more cute than a baby belly laughing! He has also decided that three nights this week he would refuse to take the 10;00 feed! He is growing up so fast!!! He is now in 9month clothes. I am hoping that we get a few weeks out of these clothes. My hand me downs don't start until 12 months!! He still really enjoys Ansley and James. He is a talker!!

When I picked Frances up for a playdate after school she just happened to be dressed similar to Ansley!

Game time

Today was James' first t ball game. He woke up in a foul mood so I wasn't so sure how this was going to play out with him. To my shock after getting use to what was going on in the game he had a blast. He even cried when we got home because he wanted to "play ball with his friends." Since we told him he couldn't go back to the park he decided to stay in his uniform the rest of the day.
I am not sure who was most excited Ansley or James. She was such a good cheerleader!!
He refuses to push up the hat so he can see.
