Fishing, fishing, and more fishing

We started off the fun weekend with a breakfast boat ride.

Last night the Crutchfield's had an open house for the new addition to the cabin. Everyone had a wonderful time. Henry did not enjoy all the new faces especially since he missed a nap. Usually I can just hand him off and he hams it up. As I learned last night when he is tired he is not his laid back self. However, the older two managed to behave and enjoy themselves. They liked helping Auntie fix the silverware that morning.

Week of fun

This week we went to the Art barn with some friends! The kids feel right at home because we have been there so often.
And there James is at his favorite spot with Jenny the horse.

Lake 2012

This weekend is the official start to summer. We are at the lake and enjoying the peacefulness of it all. Ansley and James got their long awaited boat ride this morning. Henry and Reb got to have their first boat rides. They loved it.

5 months!

Wow, where has the time gone. Our baby is 5 months today. He has made these past 5 months enjoyable and full of sleep! He still loves his sleep and food. He is currently in 12-18 month close. I haven't weighed him in a month but I am sure he is between 19-20 pounds. He wants to sit up by himself so bad. The newest discovery for him is the saucer. He has learned to turn himself and to jump to make noise. I consider him being able to do a 360 in the saucer his "rolling over." He has the most beautiful coo! He is a talker especially to Ansley. Henry still gets spooked easily by James' over eagerness to make him smile! But he does love keeping an eye on Henry while I am taking a shower or cooking dinner ( for those of you overly crazy parents... I am in the same room).
Henry still loves his feet and blowing raspberries. He just started eating baby food. Of course he loves the food! He sleeps 10-11 hours at night and takes 2 long naps and a cat nap somewhere in there. He doesn't fuss. He will let you know when he is tired and really tries to have patience when the bottle isn't ready right then. He mostly smiles and goes with the flow. He is recognizing people now. I was at home the other day with the boys. My mom picked Ansley up from school so she came in the house to visit. Henry was in the swing. Grandma walked In and sat down in the room without saying a word to him and he lost it. He will do that to me if he is playing and I walk into the room and don't acknowledge him. It just melts my heart. So of course I must pick him up and kiss his cute cheeks!!! I think that sums up Henry at 5 months.

Mother-Daughter luncheon

Today we went to a mother daughter luncheon at Ansley Country Club(no she was not named after the club). We went with my sister, Frances, and my mom. We had a great time!

It has been a busy few days for us! Last weekend we added a new member to our family.

His current name is Rebel. Hopefully that will change soon! He is between 1-2 years of age. He has blended in nicely.
The kids have enjoyed playing with him.
Kid update:
To start off the weekend the kids needed a hose down.
If you haven't tried chasing your kids around with a hose outside it is highly entertaining. They love the fact that they were in their clothes!!

Ansley: She is still on a high from her musical. James has even learned some of the songs and motions. She is reading chapter books on her own now!! Along with counting money,addition, and subtraction!! She is of course still the best big sister to both of her brothers!

Ansley is gearing up for swim team. She and daddy have been practicing at the YMCA!

James: He just finished up t ball! We can't wait until next season!

He has been enjoying coloring with Ansley. We just bought a new buffet so we made that into the kids art area.

James and Ansley will get the color by numbers out and color while they chat!! It is too cute. He loves telling us about his day. He has lately started his conversations with "one time.." or he will say "because" every third word. Bob and I enjoy messing with him.

Henry: He is still loving his feet!! He can't get enough of chewing on his hands. His favorite thing to chew on is a small blanket. He has started to do baby crunches. Loves to sit up (of course with help.. But shhhh he doesn't know that). No rolling over yet. Not to worried Ansley didn't roll over and she turned out awesome! He enjoys sitting in the saucer. This weekend he learned that if he jumps it makes a lot of noise and he also leaned to turn himself in it!

He is a talker! If Ansley or Caroline are in the room watch out he will chat with them.
This weekend be tried cereal for the first time. He loves to stare at us while we eat so I took that as a cue. He ate like a champ. He was a bit mad when I went to put it up. He even hated on the bottle for a moment. He then realized it was food why complain.
