Beautiful day= park time

Today was a beautiful day. After school the kids and I hit the neighborhood park and then our backyard!

Hoedown

Last Friday Ansley's school had a hoedown dance on Friday. We ended up meeting some of my friends from work at Taco Mac and then took the party to Sweet Apple ES to dance!!! I couldn't tell if Henry was totally overwhelmed by the noise or was truly enjoying it. Ansley's little friend from her class was there so she danced her self silly.



The picture isn't good but this was the only one I was able to get of her.



Meet cowboy James!!! He had fun but after an hour decided it was time to go home! The kids all came home and crashed. This is the morning after picture. Check out her hair! And that is paint on her face not blood.



On Saturday, Bob and I went out and the kids stayed with a babysitter. This was the first time Henry has been left with someone other than a family member. Ms. Katie had tons of help from the siblings with Henry. They did manage to snuggle into the same bed.


They stayed this way the entire night! They were so excited and tired. They both took good three hour naps that day!

In between, the kids and I went the Peachtree- Dekalb airport to play with Addison and Avery!! James was in heaven watching all the planes and he even got to see a helicopter take off and land.
The kids had a great time running around and playing!!

Purple Hippo

This monkey is happy that mommy is home today!!





Today we went with some neighborhood friends to the Purple Hippo Art Studio in Dunwoody! The owner is wonderful. She use to teach art in an elementary school. We got to stay for 2 hours and make as much art as we wanted! The kids did glitter, splatter paint, glue, and tons more messy projects. The best part was I didn't have to clean up the mess.!

We had a wonderful day together. 6 loads of laundry, numerous crafts done, quiet time, and beautiful weather with plenty of bike riding. I don't think we could have planned a better day!!!!

Big boy!!

Today was Henry's two month check up. Big thanks to my mim for taking him. I was unable to take off work to be with him. He got his first shots today which is not fun.
can't believe he is already two months. We have been so blessed to have a third baby and to have such an easy going one!! He is a great sleeper. He goes to bed around 8 and gets up between 5-6. Bob and I keep waiting for him to turn on us! The kids love him. They walk in the room in the morning and he starts cooing. He is focusing and tracking us! He has noticed the fans in our house! I love how excited he gets before he starts to coo!! He has been getting mostly breast milk during the day except for his 8 and 10 feeding when he gets Goodstart.

His stats from today:
Weight: 14 lbs 12 oz. (97%)
Height: 24 in (90%)
Head: only 50% (both the other kids heads were above 90%)

He is currently in 6 month clothes. Good thing I just bought 3 month clothing last week. He pretty much skipped over 3 month clothes. If I had gone back and looked I would have seen James was in 6 month clothes too! Henry is bigger than James by a pound and shorter by 1/4 inch. I will post updates pictures tomorrow!

Getaway

This weekend was our annual Better Marriages getaway! It was a bit harder to go this year because Henry was only 9 weeks old but Bob and I agreed this is one weekend out of the year that we get to focus on us!! This year the retreat was at Calloway Gardens.
The two older kids stayed at the house with Bob's parents and Henry went to my parents house. This would out perfectly because my sister Terri was in town so she got to spend time with Henry.
Ansley and James got to go to Fernbank and explore!









The kids had a blast. They told me James couldn't get enough of the animals. Ansley loved watching IMAX and the baby animals that were on there.
While the older kids were exploring this is what Henry was doing .




When he wasn't doing this he was eating! His two favorite things to do.
It was hard to leave but was a wonderful weekend full of fellowship and fun!

Strep

And it has struck again, strep throat is running wild in my family. Last Wednesday James took his last dose of amoxicillin, Thursday we were at the doctors with a positive test. My gut told me to get Ansley checked because she was not herself but I decided to think positive and not to over react. Well at 2 am she woke up with a fever. As most of you know my kids don't show many symptoms of strep so if they get a fever it is bad. Back to the doctors with another positive test. Ansley has it pretty bad. Then Bob was struck with a cold. I hesitated to bring my 8 week old home to the germ infested house. I was assured by the doctor that it is rare he would get strep. A week later everyone has recovered!
Ansley and James are back to running the house. This week I went down to Ansley's classroom for fun Friday!! It was dental week so we made teeth out of marshmallows and apples.



Her class is too cute. My goal for this last semester is to be more involved because she will hopefully be going to her home school and I won't have the convience of walking down the hall to see her!



James is still going strong with his helmet! This week he wore it to dinner, TV, and bed. He tried to wear it into the bath tub but I talked him out of that.
