Poop

I think potty training James may bring a new name to Potty training!! I am not pushing potty training but Tank definitely is showing much interest in using the potty. He understands how to get pee out. I guess when you have a fun toy with you at all times it doesn't take time to figure out how the hose puts out fires. He just thinks it is so much fun to pee all over Ansley in the bathtub. Of course I try to be the parent and tell him not to do that but it is really hard not to laugh when they are both belly laughing. So Tuesday night James got out of the bathtub and sat on his froggy potty (of course it is in the middle of the kitchen). After a minute of standing there watching him roll his train into the wall, I sit down next to him. He finally pushes a little bit of pee out. So I praise him he gets up all proud of himself. To my surprise there is a tiny bit of poop. YAY!!! I turn my head to get a wipe next thing I know James is saying "mommy poop..yay." Yep I turn and see the poop on his index finger pointing at me. GAG!! I try and remain calm so he isn't upset. However, he just got out of a clean bath. I get him clean and send him to the living room to lay down and get a diaper on. I am literally 30 seconds behind him. I hear him scream. See him on the fireplace screaming poop. Awesome. He not only dropped a load on the fireplace but stepped on it. Yep that is great so much for that bath. All in all he is doing really well using the potty! I am sure we are in for some more potty fun!

Name Change

Ansley informed Bob and I that she has changed her name to Twenty. Yep, I am as stumped as you are. Not sure how she came up with this name but we are on day two of this name.  She has been very diligent practicing writing her new name.
Tomorrow I go to my first Parent-Teacher conference! I have been reading through her portfolio. It is amazing how much effort her teacher puts into this book. So excited!! It goes through her reading, math, movement, and social areas. I get to see work samples along with Annotated photos. Below are just two social samples.

Happy Halloween!!

We have been dressing up and trick or treating since Friday at 3:00. Mt. Pisgah had the class parties on Friday. Then we traveled up to Bob's work for some more sugar! Then the kids went home and had a sugar crash attack. That was enjoyable for the first 10 minutes which felt like hours. I had both of them melting down while I was the only adult in the house. Thank you to the creator of Olivia which contained the madness. Saturday we chilled at home and then went to a party at the Dills house. The kids had such a blast. They dressed up, painted pumpkins, destroyed the playroom, played outside with every riding toy and somehow fit in a tiny bit of non sugar. Then today (the actual day for trick or treating) we went to my sisters neighborhood for some trick or treating!!! Unfortunately, James thought that each house you sent to you got to eat the candy. He got cut off and returned to Caroline's house while the others filled their bags up. All in all it was a great weekend. We even got one looker at the house. Check out the pictures.

Growing UP!!

I grew up a little bit more today. There is no crib up in my house anymore!!! I finally allowed Bob to take the crib down. James has been in a big boy bed for over 2 months now. However, we didn't take it all the way down it is just being stored in the playroom closets. I have to give a shout out to my Dad who did a great job building and putting up Ansley's curtains. And to my mom who is my personal shopper!! I have almost finished both the kids rooms. James room is just missing a set of curtains. Below are some pictures of the kids room

Ansley's first Cherub Choir Performance

Today Ansley sang in "big church." She did a wonderful job. I have a video I will post soon!!

First try at the Pumpkin patch

On Saturday we packed up the kids to make a trip to Uncle Shucks Pumpkin Patch. We were almost out of the driveway only to get a text that someone wanted to come see our house from 1-3. Two things wrong: 1) we left the house looking like a tornado came through it and 2)1-3 is prime nap time for James. So we pulled back into the driveway, left the kids in the car, and began cleaning. By this time it was after 10:30 so the morning was lost. We decided to just head to a church pumpkin patch.
