Football!

Today was the first Tech game! Woohoo. To bad it was at 12:30 and the sun was rough. The kids lasted until 12:47. We were at the tailgate longer than the game!oh well it was fun.

First day of school

The kids were up and ready to go by 7:30! Too bad the bus doesn't come until 8:06. Ansley was beyond excited. She started 3rd grade. Third grade is upstairs which is so fun! In her words! The best thing is she
Has to pass James' room to get there so she was able to ease his mind while heading to kindergarten! I wish I could say it was quiet around here but having a kitchen and basement full of fans was anything but peaceful. White noise is only fun for so long. We found out yesterday
Morning that the fridge flooded out kitchen which has hardwoods and flooded the basement. Now we are dealing with buckled floors. All the while trying to keep Henry from being too depressed because the yellow bus left him.


Grandma always comes to see the kids off on the first day. This year she brought Bentley who was a delight! And yes Henry is in line for the bus.

Our third grader!!


Kindergarten!!! So excited to ride the bus and go to big school!


2 year old convinced he can sneak onto the bus and no one will notice! Ansley was trying to be sweet and told him he can't go to school without shoes on (don't mind the long sleeve snowman shirt but make sure he has shoes) he busted up that driveway and into the house so fast.


And then he was crushed! The bus pulled away and he was left. So sad. Silent tears. Dreams crushed! Then came a two hour depression. He kept that backpack on convinced the bus was coming back for him. I promise we tried to prepare him all weekend.

kids! We have a wonderful bus stop!


GranDonna came to the rescue. She took Henry out on a lunch date. I told him after the bus left that GranDonna was going to pick him up and take him. Well he was super pumped to see her. Ran up to her and asked for a boat ride. Guess I should have told him that she was taking him to eat and play. He associates GranDonna with the lake. He got over it and had a blast.
He decided to start the date off with a quick nap.








A horse!


The kids had a fabulous day. They both were excited. Ansley has her own permanent markers at school and James got to dance. I love hearing James' questions about life. Tonight he was concerned that he was going to be in the same classroom when he was Ansley's age. He didn't want to be too big for the room. Love him!

More cousins!!

After Jodee and her family left we had another round of cousins come through! Two of my sisters kids and my mom came up! We had a great time! Bob taught me over the weekend how to pull tubers so I had fun taking the kids out!
Henry rarely got a nap so by 6:30 he was usually out!





No matter how crisp the air felt these two were in the water!


Thomas really got the fishing thing down!


These two talked the entire weekend. At one point they were tubing and told me to slow down because they couldn't talk!
































Had to stop and get some peaches from Jaemore farm so why not get some ice cream too!


After a we sugared them up we stopped off in Gainesville, my moms hometown, and played at the gardens. These gardens are where my Great Aunts house use to be. The lady that owns it has made such a beautiful "sanctuary." The kids especially loved the rock that had been chiseled into a bird bath. The paths are great for running and playing hide and go seek!


Of course we had to stop by at the neighbors house for some candy and a ride in Jacks chair!

Cousin fun!

We celebrated Bob's birthday at the lake on Friday. On Saturday Bobs cousin Jodee and family came up to play. Henry loved having Emma around and Ansley and Lucy had a blast! Logan our nephew joined us for the weekend too which is always a blast!
The boys love helping daddy with the boats. In the picture below they are helping him lift it.


Henry fishing is a dock clearer!


The kids had a blast tubing. James decided to sit backwards and had to get out because he became sea sick:) Sometimes they have to learn the hard way. He recovered well and was back to a pink color instead of a white one within minutes.
