Art Barn

I have been wanting to go to the art barn since last summer. Today I learned why it is so booked!! Farmer Sue is amazing with the kids and has great animals. She introduced us to each animal, took us on a tractor ride, and gave the kids and art lesson in the barn. We got to spend the day with Addison and Avery!

First dentist trip

My tush was pushed into high gear this summer since Ansley is starting kindergarten this fall, so off to the dentist we went. Ansley had a horrible experience at my ex dentist office so this time I tried a kids place!! Children's dental zone is amazing!! I would gladly get my teeth cleaned there. They have turtles, TV's on the ceiling, toys everywhere, and wonderful staff! We went for Ansley and James ended up getting his teeth cleaned too. The Dentist came up to me after James and warned me that he my not remember the experience because he was glued to the TV the entire time!! They both came away with no cavities!!

While Bob was off at a meeting on Saturday, the energetic kids and I searched for a place to burn off all their energy. We came upon a place called Catch Air. From the name and outside I figured it was a place like Monkey Joes. Was I wrong. It was ten times better!!! Catch air is a huge warehouse looking place. It has a couple bounce houses, to ball pits, obstacle courses, amazing slides, a cool swing tree, numerous balls and things to climb on. The best part of this place is there are not big kids jumping all over the little ones!! When birthday parties are being held characters come out to play. Of course Elmo was the first to come out and my kids ran the opposite direction. Strawberry shortcake won their heart! We spent almost two hours there and my kids were zombies!!













Sunday we continued to clean and rearrange the bedrooms. We still have a long way to go but it is getting better. Ansley is moving to the playroom, James is taking her room, and the new baby is getting James' room. Below are some pictures of the kids helping Bob clean out the garbage can.

Today we went with Kristy, Claudia, Addison, and Avery to Catch Air. Tuesday's are bogo days!!! We even managed to get goldfish and juice boxes during story time. If I had only found this place early this summer. Here are a couple pictures.

It's a BOY!!!!

Our last baby is going to be a boy!! We went to the perinatal specialist today. The heart and spine looked great!! We are 17 weeks and 3 days. He wants us to come back in 4 weeks to be 99% sure. But after taking over 75 pictures I am comfortable not going back. This entire time I had thought I was having a boy but deep down thought I it was a girl. Definitely a boy!! He didn't mind spreading his legs at all. That was the only thing he wanted to do. He did not want to get out of a face down position nor move at all. The tech shook and poked my belly and nothing. Then the moment she leaves he starts kicking and jumping. The doctor got some great pictures unfortunately he didn't give us those. But we got to see him open his mouth a couple times, play with his hands, see all four chambers of the heart, the throat, vocal chords, diaphragm, kidneys, bladder, and of course all his toes and fingers. He weighs about 7 ounces!!! The doctor says he is measuring exactly 17 weeks and 3 days! All great news!
Those of you may be wondering what the name is ......We didn't chose James' name until the morning of induction in the Starbucks parking lot. So with that being said enjoy that we are having a boy!!
I wish I had video taped Ansley's expression when I told her we are having a boy. Needless to say she thought it was a girl and there was no chance it was a boy. Her words were "what" with a crinkled nose expression. She kept asking me when were grocery shopping why God is giving us a boy not a girl. That was a fun topic of conversation. Once we got home she finally realized it is still a baby!!!
James looked at me and continued playing when I told him. Lately when say mommy has a belly in her tummy he looks at me and gives me a smile with a long noooooo. Tonight I put him to bed and tried again to talk about the baby. He told me it was a boy and it is in my belly! Little steps!



Sorry the picture is so small. Most are face down. The top left one shows it is a boy. But again I still can't see it. Because of my thyroid the doctor is requesting we get at least two more ultrasounds with my regular doctor. Not going to fight with him about that one. So hopefully the next picture will be better. He is still small but the doctor says he is on the bigger side for his age. Go figure. Not looking forward to the last two months!

Growing up too fast!!!

My princess is growing up way too fast. The past couple days she has been working hard at her loose tooth. Every second she is in the bathroom looking at it in the mirror. Part of me thinks it is just an excuse to look in the mirror at herself. Today she was trying to open the lemonade bottle with her teeth. She gets it honestly. But that did it her tooth came flying out. She goes from excited to shrieking in terror. It took me a few minutes to get her to understand that it is cool to have a hole in your mouth. I did not realize how little those teeth can be. She and Bob only lost the tooth once tonight on the cream colored carpet. They are both visually challenged when it comes to finding things. It was found and is waiting for the tooth fairy!!!
