Christmas Eve

Yes it is the new year and I am just posting Christmas Eve pictures. Christmas Eve was laid back yet busy. We had to finish last minute shopping because when you wait until three days before Christmas to see Santa wants change. Awesome!! We made cookies and decorated them for Santa and in between the cookie making had a wonderful Christmas Eve service. My parents joined us this year which made it extra special.

As you can see Henry was really into the cooking making!

This year at the children's service the Westminister (Ansley) choir and the Cherub (James' Choir) choir sang.

Henry was given a chance to wear sheep ears and head up front to be apart of the nativity scene. He did an excellent job. He even managed to ignore his brother who was trying to get him going:)

Since he just learned how to blow out birthday candles he was all about trying it out on the church candle.

After church we headed back to our house to put the finishing touches on the cookies and eat some dinner with my parents.

Off to bed to dream of our Saviors Birthday and the arrival of Santa!!

Xmas is coming!

On Saturday we enjoyed sometime with our neighbors. The plan was to have a short get together and then go to the local Methodist church to do Walk through Bethleham. However, due to the rain it was cancelled! As always Liz had games, food, and crafts ready! First stop was to decorate manger scenes and then next stop was to decorate dads!! 

 Last stop was Karoke! Henry didn't leave that microphone. Maybe Santa should add that too his list along with sanitizing wipes because the amount of slime that came off that mic was nasty!

James Birthday Party

On Saturday we celebrated James' birthday with his school friends. We had the Reptile guy come. I think the adults had almost as much fun as the kids. The iguana was such a fun reptile. The reptile gal brought 9 different reptiles out. If you don't mind snakes and other creepy slithering things in your house this is a party for you! I was surprised to see most of the girls were all in for all the reptiles and many of the boys held back especially when the snakes came out.

 As you can see Henry didn't have much fear of any of the reptiles.

 The baby alligator was 10 months old. Lucky for us they taped his mouth shut because he was hissing for the first couple of minutes.

 Had to snap this picture quick because as soon as the snake started wrapping around James he was out!

Henry is 2!!

Yes he made it to age two without breaking a bone! Woohoo! Count that as a success. He doesn't have his check up until the 17th so no stats with this post. This past year has been so much fun with him.
Things to know about Henry:
1. He is our adventure child by far!! He loves to climb, jump, and just take everything to the next level. He can scare any mom at the park with his ability to climb and hang from anything. I love watching their faces when he does this stuff. I get the stare because I don't gasp and run to get him. He is a tough kid.
2.He loves being outside! He will play in the backyard when all the kids are in school and have a joyous time digging, climbing, and riding the cars. One of his favorite things to do outside is ride his scooter.
3. This year he had his fair share of ear infections which ended up with tubes in his ears. The moment he got his tubes in he began talking and interacting with us. He will just walk up to us and start having a conversation. Of course most of the time he is telling us a long story and we get a couple recognizable words but it is a huge improvement from a month ago!
4. Henry has the most beautiful blue eyes that just make your heart melt. He has such cute expressions and enjoys sharing them with us on a daily basis.
5. He loves his daddy. When daddy walks in the door all attention my way stops! He will scream like he hasn't seen daddy in a week.
6. He loves preschool and so do I. He goes two days a week for 3 hours. He strides on in the door and doesn't look back. He gets in the car and crashes for 3 hours.
7. He loves the water. He thinks he is a swimmer. No matter how many times I let go to make him realize he needs help he still comes up with a smile ready to do it again.
8. Aunt Caroline can capture the best pictures of him.
9. He loves his Grandaddy's. He will just run up to both of them and give great big hugs. He is always ready to play the "ah" game with my dad. And is always ready to be held by Bob's dad. I see a trend of him loving his man time.
10.  He can't wait to ride the bus. He just loves being at the bus stop with his girl Addie (they will be going to K together :)) He must always give Ansley a kiss or two goodbye and gives her the biggest hug when she gets off in the afternoon.
11. Had to add one more. His favorite movie is Nemo. Just asking him what Dori says! He does the best whale voice!
12. Favorite food: Hot dog
13. Favorite Toy: Any thing that has wheels
14. Favorite saying: "where's (name)?" when I say not here Henry replies " Ahh man!"
