Happy 4th of July!!

This year our family was in seperate places for the 4th. The boys were at the lake and Bob, Ansley, and I were in St. Petersburg, FL. We got to spend the night with all my siblings and parents! The fireworks were grand! We were able to watch them from the Vinoy Hotel.

The weather ended up cooperating! I can't remember the last time I saw such beautiful fireworks.

Camp Continues!

We tried our hand at another Pinterest creation!!! The kids had a blast using water balloons as a baseball. Thanks to Aunt Jenny who was there to help with the organized chaos!













They all learned (thanks to Henry) that it was way more fun to smash the water balloon than to hit it. Fun times!

What have we been up too???

We have had a busy yet fun June! My niece and Nephew have been hanging with us during the week so having 5 kids in the house keeps the day busy. We spend most mornings at the pool for swim team and future piranhas (swim team for the kids under 4).



I have learned that the public library and the YMCA are my favorite places!!! The girls love checking out books from the library and the boys enjoy the kid computers! The YMCA gives me a chance to be alone and to shower alone (always a plus). The girls enjoy the cool kids zone and the boys ruff and tumble in the play zone.
So far Ansley has attended art camp down the street and cheer camp at Norcross High which is her future high school!





All five kids attended Kingdom rock VBS at our church!

James and Thomas attended Camp All American last week. Talk about two tired kids at the end of the day!

Our upstairs air conditioning decided to quit so we camped out downstairs!





And of course I had to fit in some time for projects!





I was even able to get the kids to do some of my projects! That is a whole other blog post!!

That wraps up our past few weeks!! We ended these past few
Weeks on a sad note. My uncle who moved here a year ago from California passed away. I feel so blessed to have gotten to be around him and have that year to get to know him and to hear his version of stories!

Lake Weekend

It is amazing how it can be so hot and sunny during the week and then turn on us during the weekend. However we managed to have another fantastic time at the lake. My best friend from childhood came up with her family! We had enough sun on Saturday to go for boat rides and fish. The kids are all around the same ages as our kids so they all played well! Charlie is going into third grade so Ansley was pumped to be with an older guy:) Henry was the only one that walked away with war wounds and that is solely because he thought he would jail break from us and run up the driveway. No worries he didn't get far but he sure thought it was funny until he slid down the driveway on his face. Even then he didn't cry to long and was back running with the kids.

Sam is 13 months and Henry is 18. Henry finally found a kid just as big as him.

On Saturday morning we headed over to our friends the Reeds to play at their place. The have a grandson that was born on the same day as Henry so we wanted to get them together! The kids took one look at the canoe and wanted in.
